Statement of faith

What We Believe

This is not an exhaustive statement, but this does cover what Woman 31 stands for, believes and adheres to. We hope this statement of faith serves you well, and give you a better understanding of who we are at it’s core.

By God's Grace

The gospel from Genesis to Revelation...

The Gospel Is: Knowing & Recognizing that all have sinned, and fallen short. That because of sin, we must remember that “the penalty for sin is death.” But, Christ, being sinless, became sin for us, so that we could be declared righteous before God! Genesis 3; Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23; 2 Corinthians 5:21

Continue reading below, for tips on how you too can spread the Good News, to those God sends your way.

We Believe In The: Inspired Word of God: According to 2 Timothy 3:6:16-17 the words of Scripture are “God breathed” or inspired. This implies that God is our source according to scripture and inspired 40 men to write the word of God. God, used human authors to write what He revealed in the Bible through the Holy Spirit.

John 1:1. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.

We Believe In: Our God is one, but manifested in three Persons: The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

2 Corinthians 13:14 May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

We Believe: Man was created in the likeness and image of God, but through Adam’s transgression and fall, sin came into the world. Jesus Christ, the Son of God (God in the flesh), was manifested to undo the works of the devil and gave His life and shed His blood to redeem and restore man back to God. Jesus will return, one day, to gather His people unto Himself. Romans 5:14; 1 John 3:8.

We Believe: Salvation is the gift of God to human mankind, and cannot be earned by deeds or earned through works. Romans 10:9-10: That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

John 3:36: The Father loves the Son and has placed everything in his hands. Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them.

We Believe In The: Baptism of the Holy Spirit. Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.

Baptism in water. Immersion in water, is for believers, and is a symbol of burial with our Lord, and His death, and when we raise out of the water it’s a symbol of His resurrection. Romans 6:3-7

We Believe In The: Risen Christ. His baptism, death, and His resurrection. Romans 6:5-9 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin. Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.

We Believe In: Eternal Life & New Birth: The bible reads in 2 Corinthians 5:8 — But we are confident, and have a good will to be absent rather from the body, and to be present with the Lord.  Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

We Believe: That Yes, we live in the world, but we are not of the world (John 15:19), and should rather be an example in this world. Though we might not get it right at times, we should do our best to be the Salt and the Light on the earth. Matthew 5:13-16

We Believe: That just like Heaven is a real place, so is Hell! And those who choose to not accept Christ as their Lord and Savior, should they physically die without accepting Him will be cast into the lake of fire burning with brimstone! They will be totally separated from God forever. Revelation 19:20

The Lord doesn’t want that! He longs to have a relationship with you, if only you’ll allow Him in. If you’re ready to give your life to Christ, and ready to allow Him in your life, simply repent, and invite Him in Today! Also, if you need prayer, click here to fill out our Prayer Request Form.

How to Share the Good News

Don't worry about the How, focus on the When

Often times we choke up, when it comes to sharing the gospel, not because we’re ashamed but simply because we just don’t know how to go about it. Just remember everyone is unique, and different in their own way. Allow the Lord to lead you, not your fear or emotions, and He will direct you on who, and when to talk about the gospel. Use wisdom, and discernment, but we do have a few tips…

Here are a few suggestions: write a postcard to someone you know, go out to lunch with a friend God has put on your heart to witness to, or simply call that person that has been on your mind, and tell them how much Jesus loves them.

It doesn’t have to be anything big, or something grand that needs to be shared on social media, the Lord knows what’s in your heart.

Here are a few suggestions: don’t try to be too overwhelming or forceful, just allow the Lord to lead you in the right direction. Maybe make a post on social, or go out to a church group and share your testimony. You also might want to consider volunteering at your local church, or an organization where your gift can be utilized.

Often times we think we need to behind a pulpit to share the gospel, but the truth is you can also share the gospel, by living a lifestyle that is a reflection of the gospel.

Here are a few suggestions: you don’t want to be all over the place, don’t be presumptuous, and use wisdom. Find the way that works best for you, and explore new ideas within that. Example: If you prefer to talk in small groups, how can you gather with friends to talk about His goodness?

Always remember the Lord is in control, don’t over think it, just trust Him, and move according to His timing.
