Hello Virtue, wisdom notes blog.

The Honeymoon Continues ,

Hello friend, It’s been a long time since I’ve wrote you. Let’s just say the WEDDING FEAST was amazing!

Both the bride and groom were beautiful, but the funny thing is…I wasn’t really able to fully make them out. LET ME EXPLAIN.

As you know I was but a mere observer, gazing at a wedding from afar a few months ago, when so many comparisons of our Lord Jesus Christ came to the surface in my heart. So, The light that I saw on the bride and groom was ravishingly captivating, so much so that it engulfed them both. Yet, All I saw was the light around them, the light they gave off, and the light from within, and therefore I was unable to actually see their faces.

That’s when a thought came to mind…WHAT IF JESUS WAS CLEAR in appearance (translucent if you will). Now, before you block what I say, let me explain yet again. Of course I know Jesus is not actually clear, but I brought this up because so many people have placed more emphasis on what he looks like, instead of the WORK HE DID ON THE CROSS!

But, what if we were to look beyond His appearance, and instead focus on the look of His grace, His mercy, His love for us…as His bride! What if we got to know His work on the cross, His teachings, His purpose, and His message? What if we embrace His light, His Priesthood, His Kingship, Him as the Great and Sufficient Prophet? What if we were to focus on Him as… King of Kings, Lord of Lords, The Word, God in the flesh, The I AM!

In the beginning [before all time] was the Word (Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself. [Gen. 1:1; Is 9:6]

John 1:1, AMP

You see, the Lord Jesus Christ is more than a color, HE IS LORD! We should not minimize His greatness to color, nor should we wrestle with each other in regards to this… We Are His Bride! We should prepare accordingly, in unison, anticipating His arrival.

Love, Virtue

Wisdom Nugget: Did you know that one of the definitions for the word, “Translucent” means “free from disguise or falseness?” Our Lord Jesus is never false, and has nothing to hide from us, if only we would open our heart and get to know Him. Spend this week reflecting on His goodness, and personalize it by writing down how He has shined His light in your life.
